2009: London, Nursery Site

Masterplan for 90 houses on a brownfield site in North-west London. The massing reduces the units to small terraces to reduce the bulk of the scheme. A central square provides a children’s play area and focal point. A community pavilion and allotments encourage resident self-sufficiency and interaction. Houses are orientated either east/west or north/south and are positioned to provide a clear streetscape, maximising surveillance and access. Pedestrian and vehicle routes have been combined within a landscaped setting to encourage reduced vehicle speeds and increase the green footprint of the site.
