2009: Rochester, Corporation Street

Masterplan redevelopment of a brownfield site within Rochester to provide new retail and 100+ flat units to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3. The proposal adheres to the local development framework and aims to provide a new urban quarter that sits respectfully alongside the surrounding historical context. A new lively retail boulevard is created along Corporation Street with a mixture of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom south-west facing flats above. On the east boundary a new city wall is created, acting as an acoustic buffer, to protect the development from the neighbouring elevated railway line.
